Meetings
We meet on the last wednesday of the month from September to March in the Methodist Chapel at Newmillerdam, Barnsley Road, Wakefield. If you are coming from the direction of Wakefield it is the first building after the Newmillerdam car park and is very easy to find. The meetings commence at 7:15pm and usually go on until 9:00pm with guest speakers who are involved with beekeeping in one way or another, refreshments are served during the course of the evening. All are welcome and the years of accumulated knowledge stored up in the senior members make it very easy for beginners to get their questions answered and problems solved.

During the summer months meetings are held at members apiaries where novice beekeepers can see first hand some of the various techniques used by experienced beekeepers to control swarming and maximise honey production, followed by refreshments and lots of bee talk.

click on the link in the right hand panel to find out when our next meeting takes place and come along and meet us.
